Who: Ameriko and Israel
Where: New York City
When: Modern day
What: Some post-meeting friendliness!
Israel couldn't really say she enjoyed meetings most of the time - Sure, it was nice to see everyone, to chat with her fellow nations and get things done, but her relations with her neighbors almost always came up, leaving her frustrated and stressed. Luckily this time around she'd thought ahead to schedule some time afterwards to spend with her closest friend. It would be a welcome relief from all of that talk. There would be no work, no scoldings, no casual allusions to their disapproval - Just a normal time out with a good friend. America was good like that. She understood. Together, the two of them could be human for a little while.
A warm Saturday morning found Israel and America casually walking the streets of New York at the start of their day out. There weren't really any plans, so after a bit of irresponsible indulgence (ice cream cones for breakfast!) it was decided that they would wander and window shop until something better jumped to mind.
"It's really nice out today," Israel said, licking a bit of melted mint chocolate chip from her thumb. "But I didn't expect the ice cream vendors to be out this early."

America grins. It's another hot day coming, she can feel it. When the west coast hits its midday, she'll want to flock straight indoors to the nearest block of ice. "It's gonna be a long summer, man. You never know what people wanna eat in this city. Place heats up real fast too," she replies, happily munching through her cone. "Forget those guys sayin' global warming's not a thing! Haha, no wait I got it-- Maybe it's just us!"
She's so happy to be out and about with Israel. No nagging from other nations. No pestering from her boss--even if he was a really nice guy.
"We should totally get our hair done. I know this one place, they put cucumbers on your eyes while they massage the shampoo in."
And no nagging from England.
